After the US election of November 2016, there was a recognition that new approaches were needed to tackle the climate crisis. We convened a diverse group of stakeholders — beyond the usual suspects — to convene and find new opportunities for collaboration.
Within a month, we convened ~200 leaders from business, philanthropy, science, activism, politics, faith, military and government. Coming together in Santa Barbara, California, we worked together over two days to surface, prioritize and build coalitions around new solutions.
Ten ideas were prioritized by the network, alliances established, and projects initiated. In addition, the summit established new relationships across traditional lines of division, and unlocked significant capital for new solutions.
